På denna sida publiceras somligt allvarligt, somligt roligt, somligt tänkvärt, somligt lättsamt, som jag vill spara i första hand för eget nöje,men jag delar gärna med mig. ------ This blog is set up as an archive of interesting things I discovered on the net on culture in general. It is in the first place for my personal use, but I'm glad to share with those who are interested.

These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. "Shin Dong Hyuk's Message to his father, Shin Kyung Seop"

Shin Dong Hyuk was born in the No. 14 Camp in Kaecheon. For 23 year he believed the world consisted only of prisoners and guards. He escaped from the camp alone, leaving his father behind, in 2005. Now, he lives a new life as Shin Dong Hyuk in South Korea having discarded his original name Shin In Keun.
